Did you say MolaEvoume? Yes I did. That is another name you can now call the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, H.E. Pierre Ismael BidoungMkpatt. The minister was given the new title by the chiefs of Buea, on Friday 26 February 2016, as he presided over the opening of the 21st edition of the Guinness Mount Cameroon Race of Hope, at the esplanade of the MolykoOmnisports Stadium in Buea.
Bestowing the minister with his new title, the president of the Buea Chiefs Conference, HRH JombeNjoke Johnson said they were bestowing the title on the Minister because of his good works and especially his untiring efforts directed towards paving the way for the youths of Cameroon to succeed in life. HRH JombeNjocke added that the chiefs could not be indifferent with the minister for appointing one of their sons – Dissake Michel as Technical adviser at the MINSEP, apart from his efforts to improve the quality of the Guinness Mount Cameroon Race which is contributing in no small way towards the development of Buea.
After receiving his title Minister BidoungMkpatt emerged from the makeshift shrine that was erected at the venue in typical Bakweri traditional regalia. The crowds gave the minister a standing ovation as he emerged from the shrine alongside the chiefs.
