Opopo to represent SW at Inter pools tourney

By Boris Esono in Buea
Victoria United of Limbe alias Opopo have been crowned champions of the 2016 South West Mini inter pool tournament after defeating Mount Cameroon FC of Buea 1 goal to zero
The boys of Mbock Maput saw off their opponents on Sunday September 25, 2016 at the Tiko Town Green stadium with the goal in the 75th minute from the penalty spot. OPOPO will therefore represent the SWR in the upcoming National inter pool competition that kicks-off in December in Bafoussam.

It should be recalled that this is the third successive time that Limbe is sending a club to the national inter pool, after Best Stars FA represented the region in the last two editions.
According to the SG of FECAFOOT in the SWR, Mayebi John, balls have been given to Victoria United to ease their preparation. Financial assistance will be given in the months ahead, Mayebi said.
The national inter pool features the champions of the various regional Leagues. Champions of the tournament are automatically promoted to the professional league 2.
With the imminent relegation of South West teams Buea United and Njalla Quan Sport Academy who had a bad 2015/2016 football season, supporters of football are hoping that Victoria United wins the competition and put a smile on their faces.
