Meme Mayors Celebrate Transfer of ‘Overzealous’ MINEPAT Delegate

The Median has it on strong authority that some municipal authorities in Meme Division have for over a week now been rejoicing over the transfer of the Meme Divisional Delegate for Economy, Planning and Regional Development, MINEPAT.

            We learnt from our impeccable sources that some of these “lazy” and lack luster municipal authorities went wild on the elation over the transfer of the Meme MINEPAT Delegate, GodloveBuinda, to Buea as the Southwest Regional Delegate especially as some of them had considered him a thorn on their flesh.

            The no nonsense Godlove Buinda it should be noted spared no effort in lashing out at some of these “unpopular” Mayors over the non-execution, slow and poor execution of community projects under the Public investment budgets in their various municipalities.

            Buinda on several occasions public lashed out on Mayors who exhibited bad fate in the execution of projects in their areas during follow-up committee meetings for PIB projects in Meme. We gathered it is as a result of such strictness that ended him in the bad books of some of these Mayors but in the good books of his hierarchy for a job well done.

            It is arguably against the backdrop of such hard work in ensuring what was meant for the various municipalities and the division was rightfully done that the level headed Godlove Buinda was on February 27, 2018 promoted to the coveted position of MINEPAT Regional Delegate for the Southwest Region.

            The workaholic Buinda few weeks before his promotion as Southwest MINEPAT Regional Delegate was also added another feather on his cap and confirmed the Chairman of the Divisional Tenders Board in Meme, a position formerly occupied by Peter Esoka, President of the National Communications Council. Godlove according to commentators therefore leaves Meme Division with one leg to Buea as Regional boss and remains with another as Divisional Tenders Board Chair.

            He will be remembered as the Meme MINEPAT Delegate who troubled some lazy Mayors to the extent that he was reported to the SDO and as a delegate who called on members of the civil society to embark on whistle blowing that will expose the laziness of some Mayors in their areas and as well ensured all technical specifications for projects were respected by the Mayors during execution.
