Presidential election:

All Opposition Parties Put Together Can’t Defeat Biya
                     -SWELA Scribe
By Doh Bertrand Nua in Kumba
The Deputy Secretary General of the South West Elite Association, SWELA in charge of Meme Division has revealed that President Paul Biya will humble the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Front, SDF Party in the forthcoming presidential polls in the country. Prince Nasako Mokondo Daniel made the declaration to reporters in Kumba on Wednesday March 14, 2018.
he began by congratulating Hon. Osih Joshua for his election as the SDF presidential candidate since he (Osih) is a son of Ndian Division and a Southwest Elite.
“…I want to personally and on the behalf of Meme elites say that Osih Joshua will meet a baptism of fire in the forthcoming presidential elections because it is not going to be easy,” said Nasako, adding that “even if all the opposition parties were to be joined together they won’t be able to defeat even the son of the Head of State, Frank Biya in an election.”
The plain-speaking son of Barombi Mbo went further to say “anybody connected to the family of President Paul Biya can defeat all parties joined together in any election in the country.”

Quizzed on his reaction to the latest cabinet shakeup of the President, Prince Nasako noted that president Biya’s appointment of Anglophones to ministries of sovereignty is a proof of that fact that he has listened to the complaints of the people.
“President Biya has kept to his promise following the Anglophone situation because the appointments to me signal the beginning of the dialogue process,” Nasako opined, adding that Cameroonians should also hail the Head of State for fulfilling his promise to the youths by appointing youthful ministers.
On the issue of the the non-appointment of a Meme son as minister since the past 26 years, the SWELA Scribe opined that the Head of State should not be blamed because the problem of Meme is the result of disunity, mistrust and lack of collaboration between and amongst the elites.
“We hate ourselves and we don’t want to call a spade a spade and/or project the people who can deliver to be seen by the authorities,” Nasako observed, further noting that the elites must acknowledge and unite the various tribes that make up Meme including; Bafaws, Barombis, Bakundus, Balongs and the Mbonges for better things to come to the Division.
