Over 1000 Gendarmes End Re-Cycling Course

They were officially sent forth to their new responsibilities after a 5 months re-cycling and up-grading course at the second gendarmerie technical training institute, situated in Camp Yeyap, Yaounde.
The over 1000 trainees graduated with the Certificat D’Aptitude Technique, CAT-2 diploma, which gives them competence and aptitude to serve as sub officers of the Gendarmerie corps. The training equips them to face any professional challenge that awaits them, be it operational or any other services they are called upon to render.
Presiding over the graduation ceremony at the Gendarmerie Headquarters in Camp Yeyap, Yaounde, the Director of Central Administration of the National Gendarmerie, Brigadier General Elokobi Daniel Njock, reminded the CAT-2 holders that the training they have acquired should give them a frame of mind to honour the beautiful uniforms they are wearing; to always bear in mind that they are soldiers of the law, and to be alert at all times, knowing that they are at the service of the population.

The DCC exhorted the sub-officers to be ready always to collaborate effectively with their bosses.
“We are properly trained to respond to adequately to whatever missions are assigned to us by our hierarchy,” said one of the laureates, who admitted that he is now well equipped to take any assignment that awaits him.
Re-cycling training courses are an important and regular feature of the Cameroon Army and Gendarmerie.
