9 February Twin Polls:

Mbayu Felix Galvanizes Mezam CPDM for Victory
By Doh Bertrand Nua in Yaounde

The Minister Delegate in Charge of Commonwealth at the Ministry of External Relations, Felix Mbayu, has presented guidelines on how the CPDM party will sweep all council and parliamentary seats in Mezam Division come 9 February 2020 for the twin polls.
Mbayu while deputizing for Minister Paul Atanga Nji as CPDM party campaign chairman for Mezam outlined strategies and procedures to woo voters as he launched the Divisional campaigns Sunday 26 January, 2020 in Bamenda.
“These elections campaign guides will serve as messages destined to explain the mission and vision of candidates to potential voters,” Mbayu said. He told the militants and party sympathisers to focus on messages of hope, the Special Status granted to the North West and South West regions and rapid development agenda in view for the Division. Mbayu urged campaigners to shun misappropriation of campaign funds disbursed by the regional campaign team, remain vigilant and preach the doctrine of the party.

Mezam CPDM officials said they were determined to grab all seven councils in order to be sure to ascend to the helm of the Regional Council whose election will come up shortly after the twin polls. The Government Delegate to the Bamenda city council, Ndumu Vincent Nji, on his part said the regional council if won will be only way to solve Mezam's development challenges.
Prof. Beban Sammy Chumbow and Chi Asafor, members of the Divisional campaign team, enjoined campaigners apply door-to-door and mouth-to-ear campaign strategies and ensure no willing militant is left out of the campaign trail in order to achieve desired results and not apply the mistakes of the past where the CPDM won only two out of the seven councils in Mezam (Bamenda I and Bali) and none out of the three parliamentary seats.
