Biya Sacks Two Runaway Administrators from Anglophone Regions

By Doh Bertrand Nua in Yaounde
President Paul Biya has in a recent shakeup at the decentralized services of the Ministry of Territorial Administration sacked two Divisional Officers said to have long abandoned their posts of responsibility as a result of the deepening Anglophone crisis.
In decree signed Monday 27 January 2020, Paul Biya sacked the DO of Mbven in Mbiame, Bui Division of the NW, Chofor Che Christian Aime. He was replaced by Saisou Moussa.
In the same light the DO of Muyuka in Fako Division in the Southwest, Tambe Thomas Tabot was sacked and replaced by Besinga Ely Itone. Besinga Ely Itone who comes from Manoka in Douala VI is replaced by Anang Ndong Wallang Walter.

The escalation of the Anglophone crisis has forced many administrators to escape for safety. Before the holding of the 2018 Presidential elections, Paul Biya ordered all those who had abandoned their duty posts to return to their areas of command.
Some of the Dos temporarily returned because of the elections and escaped immediately after. Though security has been reinforced around the administrators, some still find it difficult to operate in their areas.
