Limbe 11 Council Advocates Effective Back to School

The mayor of the Limbe 11 Muncipality Duncan Molindo has called on the people of Limbe and the Anglophone region in general to send their children back to school come September 2019 stating that if parent do not send their children to school, they will be committing genocide to themselves. “It is therefore our responsibility as citizen of this nation to sensitize and advice those parents still lacking behind to send their children to school and that in the Limbe 11 municipality about 80% of the children go to school just few are afraid.” he added.
 
       According to the mayor the accounts were properly managed because all projects to be executed were achieved at a 100% which means the credits for 2018 were well managed and they realized about 16 projects such as the construction of shades at the new Isokolo Market, the acquisition of three hectares of land at Batoke, rehabilitation of the mile 6 beach amongst others.
    While presenting the accounts, the mayor noted that council projected an estimated budget of 600,000,000 FRS including decentralized budget for 2018 and that recurrent revenue stood at 223,278,719FRS while investment revenue at 176,000,000FRS amounting to 399,278,719FRS as total revenue collected.
    The mayor went further to say that recurrent expenditure stood at 136,091,932FRS and investment expenditure at 219,096,733FRS and 44,090,054FRS was carried forward to 2019. He equally mentioned that the council realized a shortage of 27,565,845FRS after the death of their treasurer.
    After the budget presentation, the mayor used the opportunity to appreciate the councilors of that institution for demonstrating great sense of maturity, positive togetherness and collaboration that has existed among them for the past five years which to him has given a facelift to the development of the municipality.

    He however reminder them to keep working like servants not like bosses for greater achievements and the general interest of the population. The mayor nickname themselves as the “Good Luck Unit” since their mandate has been prolonged as he stated that the postponement of the municipal election therefore gives them the opportunity to keep working together and strategizing on how to face future challenges.
    The first ASDO Bejidi Otto 11 Richard Williams who represented the SDO for Fako Engamba Emmanuel Ledoux commended the mayor, the councilors and other development stakeholders for their effort to develop their municipality. He called on them to work as a team, in solidarity and fairness in the discharge of their duties.
    After presentations of committee reports and deliberations, the administrative, management accounts and store keeper’s report for 2018 financial year was adopted by the councilors as balance in revenue and expenditure. The mayor went further to call on the people of Limbe 11 and the people of Cameroon in general to call on to God for forgiveness as concern the Anglophone crisis because to him he thinks people’s sins are too much and only God can intervene in the situation.

The session took place on Friday August 9, 2019 at the Limbe 11 council hall. He said the aim of the session is to examine how the affairs of the council were piloted and executed as per their plan of action for last year.
  Mayor Duncan made the call during the first ordinary session of the council dedicated to examine the administrative Account of the Mayor, the management account of the municipal treasurer and the stores account report for the revenue and expenditure of the Limbe 11 council in 2018.
