The first ASDO for Fako Bejidi Otto 11 Richard Williams has applauded Councilors of the Limbe 1 council for their efforts in developing the Limbe 1 Municipality and patriotism toward the state.
He hailed the councilors during the first ordinary session of the Limbe 1 council for 2018 dedicated to the examination of the administrative, management and store keeper’s report of the 2017 financial year on behalf of the SDO for Fako Engamba Emmanuel Ledoux. The session took place on Wednesday may 16 at the Llimbe 1 council hall. He said from the analysis of the draft administrative accounts reveals an increase in the collection of revenue for the year 2017 as against the previous year which shows the efforts and hard work of the councilors.
“I will like to commend the council for the positive results despite the socio-economic situation during that period. As you engage the last bend toward the end of your mandate, your output of the past years will determine the fate of your team as far as the next mandate is concerned” said the ASDO.

On his part, the mayor of Limbe1 council Ro-Danny Mbua Mokako thanked his councilors for their collaborative spirit for the past five years of their mandate to improve on the living condition of people within the sub-division and hope they keep up the collaborative spirit since they don’t know when their mandate will end. He specially thanked the female councilors for their widow scheme project and prays it continue even after them.
While presenting the accounts, the mayor noted that council projected an estimated budget of 664,500,000 FRS which underwent an additional budget of 35,448,787FRS and that recurrent revenue stood at 488,005,000FRS.             The mayor said despite the poor conditions of 2017 with the most difficult challenge being that of invasion of tax by tax payers, most of their council projects were realized such as the rehabilitation of the road from GHS Limbe to Mafany quarter market, maintenance of roads in the municipality amongst others. He called on the inhabitant of Mafany quarter to use the market and not containers and temporal buildings along the road.  He equally made a call to quarter heads to help enable the council improve on hygiene and sanitation in the municipality while informing inhabitants of Limbe 1 not to mount bikes without reflective jackets.
“I pray God touches every mind of parent to send their children to school for without education there will be no development in a country. Everybody should do their best to make sure we maintain peace. The only way to solve our current problem is by co-existing with one another” said Mayor Ro-Danny Mbua.
He used the occasion to announced that the Limbe 1 chambers under construction is 65% gone and by august this year, the will relocate to their new building.
During the deliberation, the councilors urge Limbe1 population to neatly package their trash in bags before dumping for HYSACAM since the company is facing a lot of crisis with their contractual tullage. The equally came up with a disciplinary committee to promote peace within the council and punish defaulters of the internal rules and regulations. Base on proposed recommendations the Limbe1 council shall on Friday may 25 2018 offer scholarship to some children. The budget was adopted by the councilors as balance in revenue and expenditure
The ASDO advised the mayor and his councilors to use lessons learned from 2017 financial year to ensure the effective execution of the current budget. He asked them to continue with the team spirit within the council for the benefit of the population of the municipality.
